Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Cripsy.md collects, how the service uses it, and the choices available to account holders and visitors.
Effective date: June 5, 20261. Who We Are
Cripsy.md is operated by Ovault LLC d/b/a Cripsy.md. In this policy, "Cripsy.md," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Cripsy.md service.
Cripsy.md lets users create, upload, edit, render, download, and share Markdown slide decks.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information needed to operate the product and protect the service.
- Account information, such as name, email address, authentication provider, provider user ID, and session records.
- Deck content, such as Markdown files, deck titles, uploaded file names, rendered previews, and public share-link identifiers.
- Usage and technical information, such as IP address, browser details, device details, request paths, timestamps, logs, error reports, cookie values, and security events.
- Communications, such as support, privacy, security, or legal requests you send us.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information for these business and product purposes.
- Provide, authenticate, maintain, and improve Cripsy.md.
- Store, render, download, and share decks at your direction.
- Secure the service, investigate abuse, prevent unauthorized access, and debug operational problems.
- Respond to support, legal, privacy, copyright, and security requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cripsy.md uses cookies and similar browser storage for essential functions such as authentication, session management, CSRF protection, account controls, and product security.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising cookies in Cripsy.md. If that changes, we will update this policy before using those technologies.
Browser requests to authentication providers, content delivery networks, hosting infrastructure, and similar service providers may disclose technical data such as IP address, user agent, and requested asset.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only as needed to operate and protect Cripsy.md.
- Service providers that help provide authentication, hosting, storage, database, logging, email, networking, security, and delivery infrastructure.
- Legal, safety, and compliance recipients when we believe disclosure is required by law, needed to enforce our rights, or needed to protect users or the service.
- Business transaction recipients if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Other people when you create a public share link or otherwise direct us to disclose content.
6. Public Share Links and User Content
When you create a public share link, anyone with that link may view the shared deck. You are responsible for making sure a deck is appropriate to share before creating or sending a public link.
Revoking a public link stops future access through that link, but it does not remove copies that someone may already have viewed, copied, downloaded, screenshotted, cached, or redistributed.
7. Retention and Deletion
We keep account, deck, session, log, and operational information for as long as needed to provide Cripsy.md, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
You can delete decks from your workspace and may contact us to request account, export, correction, or deletion assistance. We may retain information where required or permitted for legal, security, backup, audit, or fraud-prevention reasons.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including TLS in production, access controls, origin checks, protected authentication flows, and restricted production infrastructure.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please use strong account controls and avoid uploading sensitive, regulated, confidential, or restricted information unless you are authorized to do so.
9. Children
Cripsy.md is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Cripsy.md, contact us so we can review and respond.
10. Privacy Choices
- You may update account information through the authentication or account controls available in the service.
- You may create, edit, download, delete, share, and revoke share links for your decks from the workspace.
- You may request access, correction, deletion, or export assistance by contacting us.
- You may control browser cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other service functions.
11. California and Other State Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and our relationship with you, state privacy laws may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in California privacy law. Because we do not use cross-site behavioral advertising in Cripsy.md, browser Do Not Track signals do not change the service behavior. If legally required opt-out preference signals apply to us in the future, we will honor them as required.
To submit a privacy request, contact us using the privacy email below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. International Use
Cripsy.md is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in Cripsy.md with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
